Where to eat in Pula

Feeling a little peckish ? But are you too lazy to cook today? What could be better than eating at a restaurant, sitting in a bar or in a café. That's good, I have lots of good addresses to share with you to feast in the city of Pula.

Pulacinka

Tappo

I discovered this little restaurant in early March with a friend. This restaurant is very well located next to the amphitheater. It is definitely my favorite restaurant in Pula. The service is fantastic, the music and the atmosphere too. The quality of the food is amazing and reasonably priced, as is the drink menu. This restaurant has a rustic style but it has a very modern comfort with a seating area. The menu includes tapas made with local products, cured meats, cheese, local wines, grilled meats and gourmet burgers. I chose the Istrian burger which is made of prosciutto, a flame grilled steak, and a fromage blanc sauce, accompanied by homemade fries. A delight!

Mlinar

Piantina Fine Fast Food

I discovered this little restaurant by chance while exploring Pula with friends and looking for a place to have lunch. If you like good fast food you should definitely go to this restaurant. The burgers are cooked with fresh products bought in the morning, and the meat is really delicious. The Croatian truffle burger is the restaurant's flagship product. I'm used to always ordering the Pepper Jack Burger: a spicy chili burger, a grilled beef steak, bacon, and creamy cheese. The cooking is always perfect, and the price is very affordable. I also advise you to try their smoothies made from fresh fruit and just sweet enough. The atmosphere is very calm and the team is very welcoming! If you are a lover of gourmet burgers, come see them.

Mlinar is a bakery chain present throughout Croatia. The prices are very affordable. In some of its bakeries there is the possibility to sit on the terrace to have a coffee with friends. This is the case of the Mlinar bakery located in the city center of Pula. The bakery offers a wide choice of Croatian, French and Danish breads and pastries. I particularly like their pizzas and cheese bureks. They are always hot when I buy them and are very hearty. I advise you to come very early so that you can have the chance to buy some, because at the end of the afternoon stocks are completely sold out. I love going to this bakery just before class to have my breakfast there. I usually take a chocolate and hazelnut croissant with an apricot tea. I also really like going there with my friends right after school to work or just relax.

BOCA bar

Although it is in a very busy artery of Pula, this small wine, cocktail and tapas bar is distinguished from others by the quality of its service, on the one hand, and of the products on the menu, on the other. .
If you are looking for a good place to taste a good Istrian wine, this is the ideal place. I went there once with friends and the waiter was very helpful. He took us out of our comfort zone by advising us on Croatian cold meats and Croatian cheeses that we did not know at all, but also excellent local wine. Certainly, it's a little less affordable than the other restaurants in Pula, but it's worth a look.
