Accomodation
As majority of students in Pula, I had to find an accomodation for this year. In order to find an accomodation in Pula there are two options: taking a bedroom in the dormitory of the university ,or taking a private accomodation. It is really hard to get a room in the university's dormitory, because places are really limited and much more for Erasmus students. This year, there was only three places for the Erasmus students. I had the opportunity to visit the dormitory because two of my friends had a room there. Each room is shared by two people. The rooms are really small but the rent is very low (95 euros per month). There is also a gym as well as a computer room and a library.
Thus I chose to take a private accomodation. I found mine on Facebook pages dedicated to finding accomodation in Pula. People put daily rental ads, so there is a lot of choice. It is easy and really fast. This is how I contacted somebody who was seeking another roommate to live in a big villa with two other people. Once the accomodation found, you usually just have to give a deposit of one or two month's rent. Then, the owner ask you to send a picture of your ID card to create the lease. I lived a little bit far from my university (40 minutes on foot) but it was worth it. The house was equipped with a swimming pool, a sauna, a jacuzzi ... And all this for the price of 1100kn per month (around 150 Euros). Finding a nice accomodation in Pula is so easy that you would almost want to move there forever.
